RECENT NEWS 10.20.08 FEA Convention Thirty-three OCTA delegates from around the District represented our members at the annual Delegate Assembly of the Florida Education Association in Tampa October 16-18.
Numerous OCTA Members attended the Osceola District Schools Board Meeting on November 18. Several union members addressed the Board regarding the need for a salary increase. A couple members expressed their needs as single mothers trying to do their best for their children at school and their own children at home but struggling... struggling to make mortgage payments, pay for child care, pay increased insurance premiums while receiving no additional salary.
